Indian Wedding Card

This is a card I made for friends' Hindu wedding. I have used silvery pearl used card and red card to echo the colours of the bride's sari and the wedding decorations.

 

I embossed the silver card with  Spellbinders Folder (Venetian, I think) and layered it onto red, then more silver card.

The sentiment is from a Just Rite wedding stamp set, embossed to give depth.

I finished the card with Heartfelt Creations Delicate Asters in the same silver and red, die cut bunting and a buckle with red faux gems (liquid pearls).

Two Hearts Wedding Card

This is my take on an idea that I have seen elsewhere, so I can't claim the credit for the original idea.

I die cut two cream and one black hearts, embossing one cream heart and cutting the centre section out of the second. I then glued the cut out part of the cream heart on the black heart and decorated the hearts as shown.

The greeting is from Tattered Lace dies and the background paper is from my vast stash of papers.

This format of card could be varied in colour and style for anniversary, birth of twins and, I am sure, other occasions.

Anniversary Card

Please bear with me as this is my first ever blog post and I am learning (hopefully) from my mistakes.

I made this card with one of the lovely Sue Wilson singles stamps. It is called From this Day Forward, but lends itself to all sorts of love themed cards.

I stamped the image three times - once on my script background paper and once each on pink and blue card.

I decoupaged the pink and blue hearts and layered one of each over the background image. This leave a spare pink and blue heart which could be used to make another card.  I finished the card off by matting and layering on black card, then adding a die cut Happy Anniversary, and a stamped caption on a die cut tag.

The finished card looks entangled but this is all part of the stamped image, which is great if you are short of time.
